WASTESORTED PROGRAM | Woodbridge Primary School

In 2024 Woodbridge Primary School was very excited to introduce a brand new, colour coded bin system, thanks to receiving a grant from WasteSorted Schools.

Inside each of our classrooms we now have a blue paper recycling bin, a green organics bin, and a red bin for general rubbish. We also now have colour coded wheelie bins in our outdoor eating areas including white lidded Containers for Change bins.

To help students embrace this new bin system, we have also introduced Waste Wise Warriors (WWW), a student-led team dedicated to keeping our school clean and green. The WWW team have different roles including:

Waste Compost Crew

Waste Recycle Rangers

Together, our school’s sustainability committee and enthusiastic WWW team are making a significant impact on our environment, helping us fight climate change and build sustainability awareness throughout our school community.
