Aspire • Caring • Respectful • Responsible

Assistance from parent and community volunteers is greatly appreciated.

Areas in which we greatly appreciate parent/community helpers include: Classroom Excursions & Incursions, Reading Programs, Library, Sport, Areas of special interest amongst others.

There have been recent reforms to strengthen Working with Children Check legislation. These changes affect parents/guardians who are engaged in volunteer work. For example, you are considered a volunteer when you assist with activities such as reading sessions, day excursions or carrying out P&C duties.

You are not a volunteer when:

Picking up and dropping off your child

Observing events like school assemblies

Attending parent and teacher interviews

As a Parent Volunteer you will need to complete a Parent & Child Volunteer Declaration Form on an annual basis. For all other volunteers over the age of 18 you will be required to have a current Working with Children Check, this includes grandparents and other family members.
